Chester County Tact Village and Public Safety Training
Square Footage
Approx. 4 acre site
Project Description
Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects has partnered with Manns Woodward Studios (near Baltimore, MD) to assist Chester County, PA in designing a durable, realistic and modernized public safety training facility. The County’s primary goal for the facility is to provide for the training needs of all first responders (Fire, EMS and Police), across virtually any type of scenario they are likely to encounter.
Schematic designs for the facility call for the inclusion of a multi-story drill tower with attached two-story “smoke house,” an outdoor training pavilion, a Class “A” fuel burn building and town center “Main Street” façade building. Additional training props include drafting pits, hazmat training pads, vehicular extrication areas and a flashover simulator.
